Life is 10% about what happens to us and 90% about how we respond to what happens to us- and whereas we have little to no control over what happens to us, we absolutely can control how we respond. But just because we can control our responses doesn’t mean it’s easy to do so. That’s where EQ Counseling comes in.

It’s perfectly understandable for people to experience strong feelings that are not good for their mental health. Anger, depression, anxiety, and grief are natural feelings that can emerge as a result of any number of different circumstances, both expected and unexpected.

Our individual counseling services are focused on getting to know you and your situation, and then working with you to craft a customized plan to appropriately face your mental health challenges. We are here to listen, to give you the opportunity to elucidate your precise feelings, and to help you explore them in greater detail. Through this process, we look to form a bond based on trust that fosters your growth and helps you proceed with your life in a way that is truly mentally healthy.

· You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

· Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

· You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

· You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

· If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
